Crown King Bare Naked Cabin
We had a wonderful time at Nicks cabin in Crown King and would definitely go back! What a sweet and quaint cabin, exactly like the pictures! The beds were so comfy it made it hard to get out of bed. We loved the Christmas tree that was up and decorated it helped us feel festive and cozy. We cooked, we played games, hung out on the wonderful deck and enjoyed the gorgeous view! The adults and teens LOVED and enjoyed our stay. The only unfortunate thing was no access to the fireplace in the cold temps, a bummer for us but we made do. Also, one shower broken for 6 people but we got it done. Thank you Nick for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin. 5 star recommendation and Nick was the nicest and easiest host to communicate with!

What a cool place to stay. Most people don’t realize how hard it is to maintain a nice home so far away. This place is definitely a great place to stay. Experience True Mountain living in Arizona.

The cabin is very nice, the A/C didn’t work but they had portables and window A/C units that did the job, had a blast! Will stay again on the next trip, you will need a all terrain vehicle or a truck with good tires and 4 wheel drive, it’s a little rough of a drive, the town was nice along with the people that live there. Enjoyed the stay……

Beautiful spot above CK
We very much enjoyed our stay. Property is spacious and sleeps many. Be sure to know that the air conditioning is finicky in case you have warmer than usual temps. We were able to manage fine. Bring a 4x4 just in case. Will be looking to stay again in the future.

Relaxing Adventure
You have too know Crown King. The drive from I-17 on the dirt road (26 miles) can be challenging at times but take your time and know what awaits is great food, cold drinks and peaceful cool weather. The views from the porch of Nick’s cabin are wonderful and the interior of the cabin is very welcoming. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation this is it ! Doug

Very peaceful place
We enjoyed our stay at this location. Beautiful sunset and an amazing variety of birds in the area. It's a good one-hour plus drive off-road drive to the cabin, and I would highly recommend an SUV or all-terrain vehicle to get there.

What a beautiful property with lots of living space. The only negative was having to haul your trash down the hill, after your stay and the old food left in the oven. Other than those couple of things, we'd come back and stay again! Thank you.

Peaceful Getaway
The cabin is beautiful. The deck has a gorgeous view. The host was great with communication. We made it there in standard cards but that dirt road is very long and difficult. It is great if you want to get away from everything.

This cabin is superbly located, being close to the "downtown", but not TOO close. The interior is beautifully done and very comfortable. There is a nice view of the surrounding pines from the deck.

Fantastic Cabin but...
First let me say the cabin itself is a great as it looks in the photos! It is a great "get away from it all" location but with that comes the rough 28 miles of unpaved road going up a mountain. We arrived in the rain, after several previous days of rain, and in my 2WD (Front) Honda Pilot it was rough going. The first almost 20 miles from the interstate isn't too bad. It was about what you would expect from an unpaved road. It gets rougher the closer you get to Crown King. The one mile from the General Store to the cabin would definitely benefit from having 4 wheel drive. We struggled to get up the last steep slope (by the mules) and had to make several attempts. You will want those lower gears! In drier months I think a 2WD with good ground clearance would be fine but during monsoon or winter you probably would want a 4WD. I would not attempt the trip in a regular car given the roughness of the road for the last few miles. With drier roads on the way down it was a much more pleasant drive. These same roads that are rough on your vehicle are perfect if you want to use an ATV. During the day there was quite a bit of ATV traffic going past the cabin. It looked fun! The views as you go up and down the mountains are wonderful. The neighbors are all really friendly and helpful. The cabin is comfortable, and although there was no AC, all it took was leaving the doors (all have insect screens) and windows open during the day to keep it comfortable. It was a great escape from the heat of Tucson.

Great experience if you're looking for a remote quiet location in the Prescott National Forest!
Communication was great from the very start! The property owners we're great! From booking till the very end we had a great experience overall. This is a remote location and be sure to take all the essentials food and supplies you need prior to your stay. We were sure to gear up with everything so we didn't have to drive down to the nearest city. The General Store has a great selection of Foods clothing and supplies if needed. The saloon was very welcoming and family-friendly. The locals were all very nice and we had a great experience with everyone from the store owner, to the saloon bartender & the cleaning lady Cindy who was very warm from the beginning! The cabin was beautiful & the pictures were just as described! it was clean spacious, and had enough beds for all of us. There was a total of 5 and we stayed for 6 days and five nights it was amazing! It was very peaceful and Serene with the balcony views and the remote location. The cabin has AC units in the bedrooms which was great for the summer weather! The kitchen is well equipped with utensils & pots, pans, etc. The bathrooms have towels & shampoo etc. The bedr8are clean and spacious with pillows, blankets & a tv! We took some DVD'S just in case to watch movies with the family. Cindy (one of locals) gave us a great route to get to Prescott in a shorter amount of time, she even drew out a map for us and was super nice to the whole family! Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend this location for some serenity away from the city hustle & bustle in Los Angeles where we are from!!!. The owners are great the communication was great& the stay was great!!! Better than expected!!! We would definitely be back for another Crown King adventure!!! Thank you for everything, it was a wonderful experience!
