Cute Cottages Nestled in the Mountains

The Brookside Motel felt more like staying in a cute little cottage or cabin rather than in a motel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the Motel seems to attract other friendly tourist. We striked up multiple conversations with people at this motel and got along with everyone. Very close to Mount Rushmore and other attractions in Keystone.

This motel is directly on the side of the road and we had a room on the front. Front desk upgraded our room so that we had 2 double beds and they were extremely polite and helpful. The walk into town was only about 5 mins and there is enough to keep you occupied for a few hours. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good

Cute place in Keystone!

Check in was very nice! Nice size refrigerator in my room, very clean! With fall coming on i couldnt get the floor heater to turn on & the blanket was very thin. I slept in my sweatshirt & heated vest & it was cold. Other than that it was a great place to stay!

The room was clean but poorly laid out. The air conditioner was place on the inside of the room in a box next to the bed. When it would turn on or run, it was so loud that he woke us up. We finally turned it off so we could geet some sleep. We did not travel with our pets, but took this motel becaus it said if was pet frendly. However, upon arrival we discovered a $250 non-disclosed pet fee. Which was more than what we spent on the room. I was happed we did not bring our furry children.

It is very old and not kept up. The room smelled musty and nasty. No mattress pad on the beds. Just a sheet on the mattress. Beds not comfortable. I would not stay here again.
