Unit D201 is an air conditioned* deluxe, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, ocean view condo with a king size bed. Accommodation D201 is completely tiled with medium size tile that is white throughout the inside and gray stone on the lanai. The kitchen and bathroom counters are also tiled. The kitchen has white appliances. The furniture is mainly hard wood with a rattan recliner. A few painted prints and small bas relief and other prints adorn the walls. Love Kihei but average stay at Luana Kai Resort
My friends and I loved Maui and specifically loved Kihei, however location was not ideal. it was around a 10 minute drive to the good beaches in Kihei and not many places within walking distance. We rented a car so it wasn’t a huge deal, but if you’re someone who wants a place within walking distance this may not be the place for you. We walked in and thought it appeared clean, however a few days into our stay realized how many bugs and lizards were able to enter the place. We had dead little bugs everywhere and had to shoo out lizards after they somehow got in. We noticed the screens were popped out in some places so we assume that’s where bugs got in. Overall, we didn’t come to Maui to stay in the condo all day, so if you’re okay with bugs, lizards, and driving to main locations, then this spot will be fine.
