Dirty floors in lobby and debris in elevator. Sink and bathtub in room were dirty with red slime and could easily have been cleaned. At checkout there was a sign that the person at front desk was not available so we left key cards in box in front of register in “key card drop off” box and put envelope with room # beside the register - so another guest wouldn’t match card with room number and enter our room after we checked out. Then we were charged a late fee even though we checked out 2 hours early. We called the hotel, no answer. We called Expedia and they couldn’t get anyone to answer either. If they had checked the key cards and/or the room they would have known we had departed. Very concerning and inconvenient to have to address this overcharge.

Perfect for one night while roadtripping
Good hotel for one night while on the road. No frills, just clean small room to sleep and shower. Huge plus that it was dog friendly and did not have a large pet fee like some other hotel brands. Only issue we had was having to wait 10+ minutes to check in, as the front desk person was not there.

I have stayed at The Avid two years in a row for my stay during GHSA Cheer Competition. The Staff is always so warm and welcoming. The 24-hour Coffee bar in the lobby is amazing. I love the nice clean smells. The team I travel with are well taken care off. I 10 out 10 recommend The Avid.
