Fantastic location for a nice little hostal
Last minute booking due to a scheduling problem caused by Lufthansa, so we managed this reasonably near Atocha train station for a good price. There are several other hostals in the building and lots of others along the street, plenty of great food in the area and lots of shopping. The room was nicely appointed, and a good private bathroom. We had a very short stay but this would be an excellent location for a longer visit to Madrid with the Prado, Parque del Retiro, and Puerta del Sol very nearby.

Very good location， walkable to all tourist spots. The hotel is clean and cozy ， but the shower drain is slow in my room .

The taxi driver and I could not find the hostel. The sign next to the door has 3 different names and only 7 inches in size. Later found there was a sign but 40 feet up on top of building which is almost impossible to see. The rooms are bare, musty and smell s like smoke. No soap in the bathroom. Towels hard and starchy. Can't get in the front door with key. Stay if you are desparate.

The location is ccenter of Madrid, close to the City Hall. The Hostal is clean & quiet, if you drive, parking is very dificult, but they provide underground parking for 25€ per day.

It was a great place to stay in the center town. Walking distance to the major attractions and museums. The best part is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Atocha train station. The airport train ends there. On the way to hotel stop at Reina Sofia Museum which is next door to the train station. they have lockers to store you luggage. Every thing is walking distance and the front desk personnel very helpful. I will recommend this hotel. Royal Palace it is free on Mondays 4pm to 6pm to the public “except” USA tourist. Thank you Trump!!!!

Good for location
The hostal is in the old centre close to metro station Antón Martín (stairs only). Although C/ de Atocha is busy, my room was quiet, opening onto an inner well of the building (as I think most rooms do). There are no public areas apart from reception. The room was simple but clean. Private bathroom was clean and compact. Didn't try breakfast but used one of several cafes around the metro station. My room was dimly lit because half of the light bulbs were missing. But I was pleased to find in the room a kettle with all the accompaniments. Overall good value for money I thought, for a capital city.
