Fall foliage trip
The location of the house was convenient to town and felt secluded. The house had everything we needed to cook with and felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed watching the trees around the house change while enjoying coffee on the deck soaking in the early morning mountain views, and card/ board games in the chilly evenings. Stacy was an amazing host before, during, and after stay.

We were in the area for a conference at the Lake Junaluska Conference Center. This home was our base camp. We were able to enjoy a day of exploring on the Parkway, and great barbecue places. The home was great for relaxing, with a wonderful porch for morning tea and coffee.

Great getaway !!
My wife and I just needed a couple of days to just “turn off, tune out, sit back” and this was just what the doctor ordered. Wish we could have stayed longer, but our “weekend” getaway was made perfect by having a perfect place to stay. The house is close enough to the main strip through Maggie Valley, but high enough up the side of the mountain as to feel isolated and perfectly quiet! Stacy and her husband both are excellent hosts. Great communication and quickly available if needed, without “hovering” at all ;-). Super nice and there to help with anything you may need.

Smokey Mountain Motorcycle Trip
My husband and I along with another couple rented this house for 6 nights while we were riding this beautiful area on our motorcycles. The house was very clean and exactly as advertised very comfortable loved that each bedroom had it’s own bathroom. Stacy gave us great recommendations for restaurants and the perfect amount of communication. I would definitely recommend this house the location is fabulous too!

Lovely place in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay here. The property is up on the mountain so you don't hear any traffic from the main drag through the town of Maggie Valley. The drive up to the house is steep, but the road is paved and our ordinary sedan handled it just fine. The house was perfect for us (4 adults). We enjoyed sitting outside on the covered balcony, watching the hummingbirds visiting the flowering shrubs below, and enjoying the view of the mountain tops across the valley. The kitchen was well-appointed, including miscellaneous spices, seasonings, and condiment packages, as well as plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. And a Keurig machine and a drip coffee maker (with filters). Stacy was a great host, very helpful and clear with information. I would definitely choose to stay here again, and would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Owl house with a beautiful view.
We got lucky enough to book this home 2 weeks out of our trip. We had 3 nights there which this time of year I was lucky. Would have loved to get a few more but it was booked and I know why. This little house above Maggie Valley just up from the main drag was quiet and so relaxing. We had the wood burning fireplace for two nights and the hot tub also. The home is all decorated in an owl theme. The creek on the side of the house was great at night with the master bedroom window open all night. The night we arrived Stacy the owner had a bottle of wine on the table and chocolates. We looked for the wine opener and couldn't find one. I contacted her and asked and honestly no big deal we bought a bottle with a twist off anyway. She said she would drop one the next day. Well while we were in the hot tub. Stacy drove over and left a brand new one by the gate. I feel she went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The fog was the thick the first morning but the next mornings clear mornings and was able to really enjoy the view from the house. The morning we left to go to Sylva to the next place. Stacy contacted me I forgot a few things. So the next day I got to meet Stacy and her husband.at their home. Can't say enough how nice they are and how much my wife and I loved their Owl house. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much Angela & John Chuluota,Fl.

What a wonderful property! Private and quite. It was exactly what we were looking for. Stacy was always available for questions/phone calls. She was also on point for food recommendations. The house was very comfortable and the views were amazing. There were so many beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds to watch from the back deck. Stacy surprised us by leaving thoughtful gifts for my birthday! We were very impressed. Would love to stay again!

Great views- Highly recommend
Wonderful view from a fabulous porch. This home was easy to locate and had a nice driveway compared to many that were hard to maneuver. The house is stocked with everything you will need and includes so many amenities-games, cards, WiFi, cable tv, AC, etc. The property owner communicates with you promptly. My only suggestion was some black out blinds in the bedrooms for those who like to sleep in.

Nice, quiet with great view.
Owners were very helpful and informative. Information was very complete on the cabin and surrounding areas. All rooms had mini-split AC/heat units. Plenty of heat for the bedrooms. Took a bit to get the main room up to a comfortable temp and the one in the master BR made whirling noise when cycling on and off. Grand daughter loved the hot tub and the Wii. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations. Buttered Biscuit, Joey's Pancakes and Snappy's were all great. Still enjoying our purchase at Elevated Distillery.

Awesome vacation at The Owl House!
This was our second time staying at Stacy and Randy's Owl Vacation House! It was just as wonderful as the first time seven months ago. We love the area and have decided that this is the perfect house for our vacations. We plan to return for a third time in the summer with adult kids and grandkids. This house is so perfect! It's comfortable, well furnished, cozy and CLEAN!! Everything we need for a home away from home is here. It's very well planned out for guests. It is up in the mountains in a pretty secluded and quiet area yet close enough to the main drag of Maggie Valley which quickly will take you to the Blue Ridge Parkway or highways to nearby towns. So much to do in the area! We thank Stacy and Randy very much for having such a nice vacation home available for us and many others to use! Bravo on a great house!

Wonderful stay
We loved the house and had a very relaxing stay. Hot tub was great and loved waking up to hundreds of butterflies on the Rose of Sharon and Butterfly Bushes each morning. The stars were beautiful as Stacy said. Highly recommend The Buttered Biscuit for breakfast, Frankie's Trattoria for dinner, and the Different Drummer Pottery for special remembrances of your trip. Thanks Stacy and Randy for a wonderful vacation rental.

Wonderful!
The owl house was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed. The views from the upper deck were breathtaking. There were tons of butterflies and lightening bugs, and even a brook that we could hear flowing. There was a nice hot tub on the lower deck, just perfect after a day of sight-seeing. The kitchen was full of pots and pans, dishes, paper products, and even some spices. There were games, books, and DVDs galore. There was a washer and drier also. Everything was clean and nice. The hosts even left us some treats as a welcome gift. The only caution I would give is that it is up quite a steep mountain road, with a very sharp turn into the lane where it is located. Our little 4-cylinder car only made it because it has manual transmission and we were able to downshift. It was a lovely place, and we highly recommend it.

Just what we needed
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The weather was perfect and the home was so welcoming and had everything we needed down to spices that are shared with guest. Stacy was so accommodating and was available via text or phone if needed. I highly recommend driving to see the Elk and exploring the local falls, and if in season, the Cataloochee ski area is perfect for beginners. The view from the home itself is so relaxing and calming and the individual climate control was a plus as we all prefer different temperatures. If you take your trash out to the dump, the address is 30 Mauney cove road and is about 15 min from the house. Open 7-5 Mon-Sat I am looking forward to our next visit and I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you for the memories!

Amazing little cabin!
The cabin was very conveniently located and very homey. Stacey more than accommodated us with all our needs! The hot tub and charcoal grill came in very handy for relaxing and cooking up some amazing steaks. The living room was spacious and had plenty of games to pass the time with. We will definitely be returning here next time we visit Cataloochee ski resort.
