The wall heaters make a very loud, almost explosive popping noise in the middle of the night, and wake you up
Beautiful on park grounds. It was cold when we arrived in January. But after a few hours the heater warmed it nicely. Lovely to walk. To so many trails I need to schedule a longer stay

Disliked: Staff & service
Great area but the hotel is only ok.
It was cold by CA standards and the heaters in the room never got the temp to be comfortable, the hot water was only warm, and no wifi in the rooms.
Also, there was dried coffee on the counter and rock hard peanut butter stuck to the kitchen sink. None of this was terrible but for the money I’d try somewhere else.

Beautiful area, cabins need some updating but overall was clean and functional. Good dinner at the restaurant
Great room, we stayed in the fireplace queen suite which was very nice. The only reason why i made it a 4 is because the room lacked in sufficient heat. The main bedroom didn't go above 60 degrees with the heater + fireplace going. Otherwise, a beautiful lodge, the front desk staff were nice, beautiful scenery.
I accidentally booked the wrong date and didn’t realize it but this staff is so amazing they were able to give us a place to stay and were so friendly and kind about it. I would definitely stay again.
The lodge is inside the State park and has gorgeous walking paths. However the rooms are old. My room’s heater was making noises all night and wouldn’t let me sleep. Front desk staff look new and inexperienced. They were just reading from prepared texts. No common sense!
I planned this getaway for my sister's birthday. The cabins are a bit run down and old. The area is beautiful. There was a fire place and small heater and a small balcony right next to where all the employees hang out.
Followed instructions to turn on heater and nothing. Oh and not much for cell service. We decided to walk down to main lodge to eat and a drink, then tell them we need help with heater. Food and service were terrible and it was like they knew it would be bad. We were one of 2 customers entire time. Someone came by and got the heater working he was great. We started fire, went to bed and woke up feeling dizzy and nauseated. I knew it was monoxide poisoning. We immediately opened doors and went outside. We informed them and they treated us like idiots and asked if we could smell gas and that the detectorabove the door would have went off. I am not an idiot. Carbon monoxide goes to the floor not the ceiling and you can't see or smell it. ☠️🤬 The pure lack of making sure your guest are okay was non existent. Warning to others, beware of this place. We may not have woken up at all. Mentioning that the fireplace chimney had probably not been cleaned in a long time as this has been known to happen. I don't normally write these types of reviews but awareness might save a life.
The room was clean yet very outdated. The toom had a fireplace with free fire wood. This is a great way to get away from technology and enjoy the outdoors. This place makes families interact with each other.
