We arrived late in the evening due to ongoing rain. The agent who checked us in was professional and accommodating. After the experience with him we were expecting outstanding service throughout the stay. The heating unit in the room made noise all night the first night. The second night the guest above us were stomping on the floor until 2am. The next morning we were awakened by the same stomping. When we brought it to the attention of the morning attendant she proceeded to tell us nothing was recorded about our concerns and the house keepers reported the guest checked which she lied. This was shared once we contacted Hilton customer service. We discerned the agent was more concerned about debating the validity of our concerns than respectfully resolving the issues. Then we were told to wait 2 days for a response and have yet to receive one from management or customer service.
Large rooms, great amenities at the hotel (outside fireplace and grills), lots of parking and good value made it a good stay for us.
Staff at the hotel is top notch in being welcoming and helpful.
Definitely nothing bad to say about our stay
The only issue I had with the hotel was that I made my reservations thru Expedia and paid for my stay ahead of time. Everything being paid for ahead of time I didn’t notify the hotel that we were running late, my daughter is a Sailor in Norfolk and we were driving from South Carolina to visit her, we hadn’t seen her since graduation. We didn’t show up to the hotel until 3 am and were informed that our room had been given to someone else because we’re showed up so late, checking was at 3 pm. But with the room being fully paid for our 3 day stay I couldn’t comprehend this. My grandkids who were 6 and 1 were with us and everyone was exhausted after the 10 hour drive. I sat there and went back and with the employee who didn’t seem to be able to help and said that was there rules and since I booked with Expedia he couldn’t do anything that I would need to call them and they were going to charge me for the day. After a while the employee went out of his way when someone checked out but the room hadn’t been cleaned he told me to give him 30 min and he would go clean the room himself so that we can stay there since we could not find any other hotels. He went over and beyond to help but the hotel rules regulations on customer treatment when booking thru Expedia is horrible.

Super nice! Clean. Service was great also. Beds were comfortable. Location was great for us… close to the interstate. There was even a small kitchen area in our room and a desk. Loved it all.
I arrived late at night after a tiring flight. The air-conditioning and heating system was confusing (it seems like there were two different control boxes) and I never did figure how to get heat so the room was very cold and I slept with my coat on because I couldn't get warm. I didn't want to call the front desk because I was exhausted and didn't want to deal with a time-consuming manager. Can't you just leave printed instructions???
This was our first time staying in a Home 2 Suites and we were pleasantly surprised. The property was in beautiful condition. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced. Even the pillows were ones we would like to buy. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for anyone flying in or out of Norfolk Airport.
