Great for the price and ambience, upkeep could use
Great location, easy entry, cool general vibe. Cool, funky but somewhat down at the heels. Trash left in the trashcan, coffee in the filter, a smell of hamburger permeated the room, and an older man, clearly drunk, sitting on the roof deck surprised me as I returned to my room in the dark at 9 pm.

Too much light at night
The hotel is touted as a historic landmark. And the building is definitely old and the furnishings are old and outdated.
The room was super clean and the guy on staff super friendly and helpful.
We got very little sleep because the blinds do not fit the windows properly and light pours in to light up the room like it’s daylight during sleeping hours.
Good location to The Mercantile.
We enjoyed staying in this unique hotel. It was very quiet. I loved that one could sit on the balcony in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee pot handle was broken so we had to be VERY careful about pouring coffee. I assume it will be replaced by the time someone stays there. It was a pleasant walk to shopping. For the price I highly recommend it.
This is not an old hotel. This is a failed attempt of a bed and breakfast (minus the breakfast). You have to call to have you key delivered. Room had at least two eye sore signs of no smoking or 100$. Poor condition not some cutesy place. Blinds are in need of replacing. Never again.
I would not recommend this property unless you simply can't afford anything else. The room was very dirty (standing dust and debris, hair on the toilet, stained furniture and sheets.
I did not stay. Looked around the room and simply left.

Classic, clean affordable. Answered calls promptly! Enjoyed the History and sitting outside in evening! Close to all shops. I would return.
Nice little hotel in a historic building. Smaller operation different than the chain hotels yet offered all the necessities for a comfortable nights rest.
Loved the place and the closeness to everything! The only problem we had was there were food boxes in the fridge and dry crusty coffee grounds in the coffee maker when we checked in!
I tried to cancel my reservation and some guy said he was not the Maintenace man and would call me back. He never did so I did not get my money back. A total rip off. I will never deal with Expedia again.

The room (although cute) was a little dark and moldy smelling and there was almost no water pressure in the shower.
The property has a lot of character, very interesting old
fashion building. I only wish the walls in my room were not painted black. It gave us the impression of enclosure. Easy check in and out. We did not see the manager but he was available via phone if needed. Other than that wall, I loved our stay, very comfortable place. I recommend it and will stay here again when I come back! Thanks!
2nd time staying here and still loved it. Spacious rooms with lots of character. If you love shabby chic, vintage, fun, or different places to stay, this is it. If you stay in rooms 1-6, you might have to lug your stuff a little further than you want, but it’s worth it. We love Room 1. Will definitely book again when we are in Pawhuska.
The only criticism I had for our room is that the covers are a little small for the queen bed. Once 2 people are under the quilt, you almost can’t cover both people. Just need a larger quilt for the bed.

Rooms need ceiling fans for summer months. Old but clean. Never got below 78 degrees in our room for four days.
The property itself is super old. But its super clean!!! The tv is way to small for the room though, and the rooms facing the street really need blackout curtains, the street lights are super bright!
My stays here are almost always great. Every once in a while I get a disrespectful neighbor, but that’s no fault of the property! This stay (which was a couple of nights) was great, although the day of checkout I was looking forward to a hot shower before I left and the water just never got past luke warm. Thankfully this was a want, not a need, and the rest of my stay was great like normal!
