The front desk staff was pleasant. The room was very dark, dated, and felt dirty. The bathroom was very small, dated, and not clean. Checked out after one hour as took that time to find another hotel. Front desk staff asked if I wanted another room and apologized. I believe I was charged twice for the room and now have to deal with that mess. Not a pleasant hotel. Do not stay there.

Pricing not as advertised
When I checked in, I told them that I didn’t think the pricing was correct. When I pulled up the Hotel.com quote, I was charged $10 more than quoted. When I asked about the discrepancy, they said it was a service charge. I contacted Hotel.com, they tried to contact the hotel for over 20 minutes with no success. Never did get a satisfactory answer from the Mead Hotel or Hotels.com.

The property used to be "the place to stay" while in the area, but now seems to be where I gravitate due to rates. The building is long overdue for a complete remodel. The hanging fake flower baskets outside should be hanging in a dumpster ( pitiful looking ). The lights on the building and in the main entrance, are I think, meant to add a bit of "cool" but that could have been money better spent as its just a bit of makeup on a ..... I did appreciate the Beekman products in the bathroom.

Honesty there was noting I liked except it was close to my work. The first night, the air conditioner did not work, the water didn't drain well in the tub and all the mirrors and windows were dirty. We moved to another room the next day the TV didn't work right and the mirrors and the windows again were dirty. In both rooms, the worst pillows i have ever slept on.

The staff was very friendly but the hotel needs to be updated. Carpet - paint everything. The sheet on the bed was dirty when we checked in. there was robes and sleepers in the room but they were stained. Black grout in the bathroom. Pool water was cloudy. The bed was good only stayed one night was there for work and was close to where I needed to go. We did not send much time at the hotel itself but I will not stay there again
