Located on Yaquina John Point, Beachside Suites is central to all major attractions. Just south of the property are Governor Patterson state park, Cape Perpetua, Heceta Head light house, and Sea Lion Caves. Just north are Seal Rock, Oregon Coast Aquarium and Newport light houses. Guests enjoy access to seven miles of smooth, sandy beach. Walks are peaceful, since the beach is semi-private. Many rare birds can be seen on the beach. Whales can be seen just off shore, migrating north or south. Harbor seals swim in the water near the beach. North of the property is the Alsea river, which offers fishing and hiking opportunities. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and numerous shops, just one mile away. There is a golf course one mile southeast. A convenient visitors center is located one mile north, where you will find hundreds of brochures with helpful vacation ideas. Returning guests comment on the small-town atmosphere as a major reason for their return.
Beach Access: Beachside Suite has very easy beach access. It takes approximately 3 minutes to reach the sand. This beautiful beach stretches from the town of Waldport to the town of Yachats, where the beach becomes lava outcroppings.
Attractions: There are many attractions both north and south of Beachside Suites. About 20 miles south are the Sea Lion Caves. Just north of the caves is the Heceta Light House, and some of the best views on the west coast. About 10 miles south of Beachside Suites is Cape Perpetua. This is a 500 foot cliff where tourists can view the ocean and outstanding sunsets. Just north of the Beachside Suites is Otter Rock. This is a very interesting and unusual group of rocks. About 15 miles north of Beachside Suites is the town of Newport where one can see the Oregon Coast Aquarium and 2 lighthouses. And right in the town of Waldport, the Alsea River meets the ocean. Highway 34 runs along the river. Many sightseers enjoy drives up the river.
