Great place - super convenient to the convention center on the Dock - lots of options for walking and eating. Breakfast is included and above average - except the coffee which is subpar. Rooms are large bright and have a view of the water. Simple finishes, no safe in the room - but iron, hairdryer, large shower, good ventilation and working heater. Original brick building has been preserved on the inside and out.. Super convenient for walking and picking uo a cab.

Hotel in great location on the Albert Dock. Our room had twin beds, one firm and one softer. Thought this was a nice touch. Lovely attentive staff and great breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. All of the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast was perfect. Lovely room overlooking the Mersey. Being in the dock, it’s the perfect area. You’re right near everything but it’s nice and quiet at night. Would absolutely stay here again.

Like the quote from a real estate agent .... LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! I have stayed in Liverpool several times over the years and this hotel ranks up on the top of my list. There are only a few quirks. 1.) Since I am a smoker, I had to go outside to light up. 2.) The fire alarm went off twice in one day causing evacuation. This was not the hotel's fault. The fire alarm for all of Albert Dock is all one system! So if any restaurant chef on Alberts Dock causes any smoke in their kitchen, everyone pays the price. I feel the Engineer that designed the fire alarm system should be taken out and flogged.

This was my third stay at the Holiday Inn Express, and it is my "go to" hotel in Liverpool. I always know what to expect. First of all, I LOVE the location! The Albert Dock area has many shops and restaurants, and I request a dock view room, where I can see the lights and the ships against the water. Also, the rooms are large, and many of them are lined with brick on the walls. Other than that, the breakfast is lovely, and this year, they seem to have added a cappuccino machine with many coffee options. The staff is friendly--kudos to Capri and Elliott! It is also next to the Beatles' Museum and walking distance to Matthews Street and the Cavern Club. I recommend the Holiday Inn Express with no reservations.

Very clean, modern hotel within walking distance of all amenities in Liverpool city centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was the rooms were very stuffy at night. We would recommend that the hotel consider installing air conditioning.
