Even though I booked a couple of months beforehand, I was told at check-in that, as they are fully booked, we had to have a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom sink is much lower and you have to stoop down low to be over it.

For the price this is a no brainer. Nice hotel, friendly staff, restaurant and bar with free coffee/tea bar, and just outside Heathrow main bus terminal to get to all terminals. Public bus to and from airport just outside. I’d stay here again.

The Ibis is conveniently located very close to London Heathrow and car rental. There is also a free public bus you can catch right across the street into the airport. Rooms are small, clean and comfy.

I booked a night for myself, and a following 3 nights for my guests who were due to fly in. I’m just glad I was able to see the hotel before they arrived…and immediately cancel the following nights. The photos on the site look great, very contemporary, nice little restaurant and bar - the reality is a tad different. The rooms are ok for a night but the ‘restaurant/bar’ was a tacky little section that offers reheated gunk at inflated prices. I ended up going to the grubby service station next door for a stale pasty and croissants for breakfast. The area around the hotel is grim. I’m a seasoned traveller but some of the other guests made me feel uneasy. I’d have been so embarrassed to have taken my extended family here on their first trip to the UK. I managed to get rooms at the Thistle instead, far better.

Good for an overnight stay. The cost of getting to the airport (even Terminal 3) needs to be factored in to the price of this hotel i.e. add at least £20 to the cost of your stay here for the trip/tax (unless you get the <£2 bus from across the road). Otherwise, the room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable with good public transport on the doorstep.
