Excellent location in a very unique and beautiful building. Rooms and bathrooms were very large - there were many positives. However, there were also some negatives that should be addressed. Bathrooms only had 1 towel (not great for a couple) and the mattresses were of a poor and flimsy quality (extremely thin and soft). The rooms were quite hot and we were told that the AC units were not working properly and the windows were welded shut. If they can fix these problems, this will be an incredible place to stay!

Tired hotel needs a refurb.
Last stayed at this hotel 20 odd years ago and it was amazing. Sadly, it's a little tired and it looks like it's not been touched in 20 years in the room I stayed in. My room had ripped wall paper in several areas and looked very tired. Whilst I appreciate requests are not guaranteed I asked for a room away from the lift and quiet. I got a room right by the lift, the stairs exit, overlooking the bus stop on Piccadilly and by an air vent! Air con in the room didn't work so room was stuffy. The service at the hotel was luck lust and their was a whiff of arrogance about the check in staff. When I had my breakfast I asked for no eggs and comments were made about why would anyone not like eggs. Well, I don't! There is a multitude of hotels in the city and this one needs to try a lot, lot harder.

This was the most beautiful hotel I‘ve ever stayed in! I felt very, very comfortable in it. It‘s a short walk from the train station and in such a cool area. Felt very safe for two young women.

Stay away if you wish to sleep.
The Hotel was hosting a party on the Saturday night and the noise pollution was so bad that my wife and I could not sleep until it had finished. I went down to the reception at 12:00am to complain about the noise and was told it would finish at no later than 12:30. the noise then continued until almost 12:45. AT no point when we checked in or booked the stay did anyone warn us that this party was planned to take place and that we should expect some disruption. If I hadn't of had a drink that evening I would have packed up and checked out and driving home at at midnight because of the inconvenience. I shouldn't have to pay that amount of money to stay at a hotel such as this and leave the next morning less refreshed than when i arrived. I am incredibly disappointed with the manner in which the hotel have conducted themselves.
