All staff at the hotel were very friendly and polite. The room and the hotel itself was nice and clean. The room was generously stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits. The mini fridge was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was clean and very comfy. There was a wedding and party at the hotel, but there was no great noise to be heard. Parking was free but due to the wedding the car park was full. We luckily got the last space which i think was only there due to it being a tight squeeze to get in. The only tiny issue we had with our stay was that the room was very hot. While there were windows we were able to open, we could have done with a portable fan. This was listed here on the overview of the room, but there wasn’t one in our room. We aren’t the kind of people to cause a fuss though so we didn’t contact reception about it. Overall our stay was fantastic. My favourite part of it was the professional, friendly and hard working staff. Will definitely be coming back and will try one of the more superior rooms.

Overall this is a great hotel. Only gripe was the allocation of a disabled access room which we hadnt booked. Whilst it is great that those with mobility difficulties are respected and catered for, its equally not respectful to just allocate these equipped rooms when not selected and without any notice. However, the front desk staff did change our room and were friendly and professional. All areas were very clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Perfect location for Newcastle

We have stayed here several times before but on this occasion were fortunate enough to be in a junior suite in the modern building that adjoins the original hotel - it was comfortable, well designed and in very good order. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we had dinner from the residents menu which was also excellent.
