Hotel clerk was extremely pleasant and accommodating. She upgraded our room so we would not have to carry our dachshund up and down the stairs. He is too small to do stairs.

So-so

We stayed at a Candlewood Inn In Harrisonburg at the beginning of our trip and it was wonderful. This location was just OK. The AC did not work correctly, the tub did not drain properly so when we took a shower, the water backed up. There were a lot of men, I think construction workers or road crew, and it just made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The room itself was very large and clean.

Checked out immediately. One room smelled of smoke, the second smelled like black mold. Fellow at the desk was very nice. How this rates excellent is beyond me. Avoid.

Second time here. First time was great. This room smelled like mildew and the bed had hair on it. So not sure the comforter was changed.

Overall good place to stay for the night

The hotel was overall clean. Showed a little of the age. Didn't like walking around without shoes on. A lot of guys hanging out in the parking lot made me a little uncomfortable.
