Front entrance has only steps, so the skinny old doorman barely lifted my suitcase up for me. Later I found the side door with sloop, but all the smokers are gathering there. The room had electric kettle and iron, but no small fridge.

Perfect location for first time visitors to London! You can walk to many highlights of the city, you are right in the middle of the theatre district and there is a tube station just a few minutes away from the hotel. I would definitely stay at the Strand again!

Lovely place to stay close to some of the very best art in London. It was quite special. My only complaint was that the bed was quite unevenly worn. I find this at many places, nice or not. Solo travelers always sleep on the same side of the bed, and hotel personnel never turn the mattresses, and since they themselves don’t sleep on them, they don’t know how uncomfortable they are.

Central location, attentive and polite staff, good breakfast. Room was small and showing signs of wear and tear and this was the upgraded to a bigger room we decided to have. We would stay again if we were in the area but will throughly review room sizes before booking

Strand Palace is the perfect location for theatres, Covent Garden and all the fantastic places I wanted. Loads of shops and restaurants and there was no need to descend into the tube as so much is within walking distance. Public areas were spotless. The hotel has great touches such as digital room finder screens (its a big building!) and water refill units. Lifts are quick and efficient. Staff were lovely and really friendly & helpful. I especially recommend an evening in the Gin Palace with a cocktail & a plate of chicken skewers! The staff here were delightful. My single room was perfect for me, very comfy bed, spotlessly clean and the bath towel was actually a decent size! I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. 😊
