We'd stayed at this venue a month earlier and all was good. However, this time we were allocated room 58 and it is small!. It honestly felt like a cell. Way too small for two people to comfortably use or move around without the other having to either lay on the bed or go into the bathroom to get out of the way. Couldn't even use the tiny chair provided as to pull it out meant it was resting against the end of the bed such that no-one could then get past. You couldn't have suitcases or bags on the floor as again you'd have to step over or move them all the time. The Bed was possibly the smallest double bed I've ever used and too small for two people to sleep on comfortably. A Nice Hotel and nice staff but can't see I'd use them again for fear of getting stuck with another room like #58.

Hotel is in a fab location. Rooms we had was very small, which I understand due to building age and dynamics. Staff were nice, breakfast. Was average, food was hot and tasted fine. Typical English breakfast, no real complaints. Found it strange there were no usb plugs in the room. ( minor for me). Most hotels do have them installed above plugs. Overall. A nice stay.

Location is very ideal for walking to the many museums in the area. The tube station is also right around the corner. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and filling. I would recommend staying here!

Front desk staff were extremely personable and helpful. However the room, while adequate, left much to be desired. There was a badly cracked tile on the bathroom floor, one of the slats on the blinds covering the bathroom window was broken and the bathroom sink was VERY slow draining. The hair dryer was hidden under the desk and the carpeting in the bedroom was in need of shampooing.

The bathroom connected to our room was terrible. The wood at the bathtub next to the door was completely rotten and a lot of black mold was present. Tile grout was missing all through the bathroom on the shower walls and floor. It smelled awful in there because of the rotten wood and moisture.

I expected a bigger room - junior suite seems to imply more room. It was clean and comfortable. I expected fancier furnishings too. The room's decor was simple yet tasteful. They were dedicated to eco-friendly practices which is laudable. The bed was king-sized and worthy of junior suite status. There were robes and slippers for use and miniature L'occitane shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. I had an incredible first-time trip to London and this hotel was meant to be a splurge for me.

The way the rooms are laid out are completely terrible. You can’t even get in the door before you run into furniture. The building is so gorgeous and the lobby and the staff are amazing, but once you enter the room, you feel like you’re at a Holiday Inn.

We were sceptical about this one because of some reviews, but it was lovely. Very clean beautiful reception area, with friendly, helpful staff. Our room was cosy and clean with nice tea making facilities and a handy mini fridge. Bedding was clean, neat and fresh. We had a nice view onto the street. Air conditioning worked fine. Shower room was clean and stocked with nice toiletries and soft towels. Breakfast had a great range, from English breakfast to continental options. We tried a bit of everything over our stay and it was all great, the staff were also very diligent, cleaning up tables immediately and making sure everything was regularly stocked up with fresh options. We especially loved the bacon and sausages, and the croissants were great! As others have mentioned, there is a slight musty smell in the corridor, but only there. It is fresh and clean-smelling everywhere else, and the room had no smell. Both lifts worked fine. It is a lovely older building and the staff clearly work hard. Very reasonable price for such a great area. They refreshed our room nicely, and the team were great, looking after our bags while we waited for our train etc. Best of all was the location, literally less than 5 mins from Gloucester Road tube station so we could get everywhere with ease. Only a short walk from Kensington high street and the palace. We had a great time and would stay again, we had a double room, room 205 and couldn't really fault it! Thank you! 👍
