The Park Plaza Riverbank is located on the south bank of the Thames along the Albert Embankment. It is located a short walk from the Vauxhall underground station and is on a major thoroughfare with other public transportation. The hotel is also near a number of other services including a Tesco, a small grocery, a pub (The Rose) and a beautiful walking path along the river. Our room had a great view of the city but the maintenance was a bit haphazard (bathroom door handle came off, sink clogged). The staff fell into two broad categories of exceptional and - in a couple of cases - lacking in customer service. For example, we asked the Concierge and another employee to help us with a cab and both told us to flag one down on the road (instead of calling one for us). Hotel offers dedicated transport to local airports. Room service is excellent. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the lady at the spa and pool was by herself and more staff are needed in that area. As a former lifeguard, it took 5 of us to clean sauna and poolside etc. Expecting one person to cope is unacceptable.

This hotel has the best prices among other hotels that I checked in London. It also accommodated five people in the room, which was a plus. Stay was pretty decent until the last day. On the last day the electricity wasn’t working in our room, the pool was shut down the restaurant was shut down, Housekeeping did not clean our room so we had no towels or toilet paper. I called the front desk and no one answered so I had to send my kids down for the items. Hotel was close to tube but didn’t care for area. Not a lot of restaurants around and was about 20-30 minute ride from all the fun areas and things to do.

What a great time we had here. The room was beautiful and the view of the river Thames was stunning!! We had a suite with the full kitchen and even a washer/dryer. The complimentary coffee and tea was a nice touch. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Chino Latino, twice…it was so delicious and we enjoyed the live entertainment. We also enjoyed a lovely meal via room service. Next time we visit London we will definitely stay here!! 10/10 recommend

The offer to check in early for an additional fee did not work because our room was not ready. We waited for 2 hrs and checked in during the normal check in time but our luggage’s were kept safe while we wondered around outside. Shower did not have shampoo container refilled. We requested and took a day to get it done. Overall it was ok because the location was close to everything.
