Luggage had to be carried up the stairs to reception. Elevators took as long as 20 minutes to come. Only one location for electrical outlets in room. Quite inconvenient. No place to put luggage in room.

So keeping things limited, the place wasn't bad but wasn't great either. They were working on remodeling during the day. I could hear them pretty clearly and it was pretty disruptive. This normally wouldn't be a problem since I would be out and about exploring the city, but it was really annoying when trying to get rest in the mornings after a long night out. The staff were ok, I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. They never smiled, or greeted me, they just did their jobs. I didn't really feel welcome, I just felt like another person staying at the hotel. The room itself was small, pretty outdated, but it was clean and provided what I needed. I would say the thing that stuck out to me the most was the lack of outlets around the room. Nothing by the bed to charge your phone, everything was more on the small desk with the mirror. The light switches were on the outside of the bathroom which was weird. There was no fan in the bathroom either, and they provided an all-in-one for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was a big red flag for me. There was no Air Conditioning either, so you would need to crack the window to cool the room down which was kinda rough at times. All-in-all it was alright. It provided the absolute minimum of a bed, bathroom, internet, and cupboard. The only reason I would consider this again is for the area it's in: SOHO. Wonderful location and spot next to the train. Would I consider this again? No.

Hotel is undergoing a major update that greatly improves the rooms. During the upgrade, construction noise can be heard from 9 am until 5 pm. Elevators do not appear to be adequate for the number of rooms in the building. Internet service was very poor, dropping signal regularly, and not available to us for more than half of the time.

It was good value. I had the superior room which had a little sofa space. The bathroom is tiny with a shower curtain. The three lifts struggle with the demand of the 10 floor and I did end up spending an age waiting.

Would have given it 5stars but the elevators always had a long long wait...location is great and staff was too... rooms were a bit older but clean and enough space. Would definitely stay there again!

The location was perfect. Easy to get on a tube or train or walk many places! Great restaurants nearby as well as so many landmarks! The hotel states it is renovating and this is a positive and much needed move.

Nice hotel in great location,easy book in,stayed urban room which was good. Very comfortable mattress great nights sleep, good showers. Hotel breakfast was lovely. Finished our evening in the bar which great definitely go again

Rooms were newly renovated but so cheap feeling. The bed was a squeaky flimsy metal bed frame, the pillows like pancakes, and from 8am til 5pm there was drilling and banging where they were renovating other rooms, but it was so loud it may as well have been in my room. Awful experience, uncomfortable, massively overpriced

The single room served its purpose but it was very noisy purely because of the location- location was excellent for my trip and probably would stay again but ask for a room on the highest floor so maybe less impacted by the street noise and underground.

Not a 21st century stay!
When asked about alternative milk we were told they don't have alternatives so obviously don't cater to those who are allergic? Not even at breakfast, which offers chipped mugs and dirty surfaces. Not a relaxing stay regardless of the location. There are more problems which I will address in a letter.
