religious views of owner pushed on to guests

The hotel is however obviously now under new management. I checked in having paid for a club room and was given a standard room. After hauling my cases back to reception (by the way its slow very slow checking in) I was eventually given a club room. No apology was given. After a long day at work I returned and asked where the bar was to be told that there no longer was a bar and alcoholic drinks were not served in the hotel. When I asked why I was told the new owner wont allow it. The next morning I was informed that there was no bacon on the menu or ham but I could have turkey bacon rashers!!! Again when I enquired as to why it was explained the owner wont allow bacon or pork products in general to be served. So the owner obviously has certain religious beliefs and as an Englishman stopping in my own countries capital I have to abide by them also. What a disgrace and I will never stop there again until an Englishman can have a glass of wine and a bacon butty!!!! be warned fellow countrymen and women.

A Magical Birthday Surprise! :)

We had a great romantic trip for my partners surprise birthday adventure! Our room was perfect with a great city view including The Shard. Amazing location walking distance from the tube and London Bridge. It had a charismatic old London feel in the streets surrounding the hotel leading to shops around. Staff were fantastic helped us with anything we needed. We enjoyed a trip to the London Tombs, dinner and drinks in a fantastic Thai restaurant overlooking the beautiful river front by London Bridge. Spectacular view of the city at night with the Christmas tree and Navy ship we loved every minute. It was a truly a magical birthday! :)

More than we expected

Booked this hotel blind! And so glad we did,friendly helpful staff , clean and very comfortable room,amazing shower, checked in early and out late! Couldn't ask for any more .

Business Trip

The Breakfast Restaurant Manager was visibly overwhelmed and incapable of managing her staff despite the fact that the restaurant was at most 70 capacity. She was verbally abusive to her staff which is something I have never witnessed so publicly in all my years of business travel leaving a very unpleasant memory of the Bermondsey Square Hotel.

Comfortable stay

Really nice and clean hotel at a quiet area. Nice restaurants nearby and good bus connections to nearby stations!

The room was great. In the bathroom, only shaving is possible; there is really no outlet for a hairdryer, etc. An additional handheld showerhead would be good alongside the rain shower, and the shower floor tiles are very slippery. To the nearest subway station, it’s a brisk walk of about 15 minutes, or you can take bus C10 towards Canada Water.
