It was a beautiful property and all decked out for Christmas. Room was a bit small and bathroom was ridiculously small. The heat was not working in our room and they brought us a space heater which barely worked haha. Oh well, it was a fun stay despite those problems. Absolutely loved the restaurant “The Soak”. They had great food and great servers!

Great hotel with direct access to Victoria Station
We booked two nights at the Clermont solely based on proximity to Victoria Station. The door with direct access to and from the station and underground made it even better than we thought. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Our room was big and the free snacks and drinks were an added bonus.

The train station is right next door. The hotel restaurant is ok. We had to walk a flight up a narrow stairway to our room which was a bit of a problem in that we are in our late 70’s. Fire safety was a bit of a concern. The room was clean and comfortable.

Goregous hotel, but afternoon tea is terrible
Really loved our 6 night stay at the Clermont. Lovely old hotel that feels very grand. The restaurant "Soak" attached is very good food, and we ate there several times. The afternoon tea is terrible - terrible - I mean my 6 year old neighbor could cobble together a better tasting tea. Poor selection of teas offered, and the service was abysmal. Had an older woman when we visited on 11/7 and she didn't check on us once, and made snotty comments. The male host was almost as bad. Horrible service and lousy food. There was also a TON of street noise during the night due to non stop construction directly outside of my window. It was really hard to sleep.
