This is by no means a 4 star hotel. In fact it is grazing 3 star at best. We were given dark dingy rooms in the basement with no elevator service. The beds were not comfortable. The only good thing about this place is the location, which is close to two subway lines and many bus lines. Unfortunately, I found this place through a search for 4 star and up and this is why I was badly disappointed. If I had searched for 2 or 3 star, I might have been ok.
Great location for walking to Kensington palace and gardens.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Hotel is located on a pretty street. The bed sheets appeared to be stained. There was no phone in the room to call down to the front desk. The bed sheets were never changed for a 4 night stay.
The room was a literal closet. I could touch both side walls without fully extending both my arms. I had to climb across the bed to get to the door or the bathroom. The bathroom door opened up against the side of the bed. Early morning construction and banging on the walls and constant checks by housekeeping. Do they really need to come into my tiny room two or three times a day? They don’t even do daily cleanings so what are these people doing!?
Basic accommodations & would stay there again if needed. Room did not have any “extras” such as an iron or fridge. We stayed in a basement room & there was no lift (elevator) to get there, so it was difficult to navigate when traveling with luggage.
