My stay at the Rembrandt was unfortunately disappointing, as the hotel, while presenting itself as a 4-star establishment, offered service more akin to that of a 0-star facility. The room lacked a coffee machine, providing only instant coffee with a tea kettle. Essentials such as shower caps and slippers were absent unless specifically requested—a notable departure from the norm in other comparable London hotels. Additionally, the absence of an umbrella was a significant oversight, especially given London's frequent rainfall. The executive room I booked came with twin beds that were uncomfortable and springy, which negatively impacted my sleep quality. Moreover, the room's carpets were worn, the furniture, including a desk with chipped edges, showed signs of aging, and the door frames were dented. The hallways were also narrow, with visible damage to the walls. The hotel imposed substantial fees for early check-in and late check-out, services typically offered as courtesies at similar establishments. Furthermore, although the hotel boasts a swimming pool and gym, access is not included in the room rate, and after paying a daily fee of £15, I was further disappointed to find that the pool was unavailable to hotel guests during public swimming classes from 3-6 pm. Overall, it seems that the Rembrandt does not prioritize guest convenience or comfort, significantly undermining the experience one would expect from a hotel of this purported standard.

We loved everything about the Hotel in the concierge Scott and Neil were our private guide. Mohamed at the entrance couldn’t be more attentive! And always with a big smile! The room was impecable always. Breakfast wasn’t impressive but it had the necessary typical English breakfast. We loved our stay! Great hotel
The Rembrandt is a good choice of hotel --especially for its strategic locstion, close to the tube and across the street from renowned London museums. The management staff is very professional and the concierge service is outstanding. I will return there on my next trip to London and recommend it without hesitation.
