The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood

"Uudehko ja tyylikäs hotelli. Siisti ja moderni, mutta aika pieni huone. Hyvä ja leveä sänky. Siivouspalvelu toimi hyvin joka päivä. Äänieristys huono, liikenteen melu ja viereisen yökerhon jumputus (joka ilta) kuului huoneeseen. Ei sovi herkkäuniselle! Hotellissa säästettiin ympäristösyistä vettä, joten suihkusta ja hanasta tuli vettä heikolla paineella ja liruttamalla. Tämä oli varsinkin suihkussa käydessä ärsyttävää. Aamupala hinnakas eikä kuulu huoneen hintaan ja tarjonta aamupalalla peri amerikkalainen. Huoneessa minikokoinen jääkaappi, johon mahtui juuri ja juuri pienet aamupala tarvikkeet ja pari juomapulloa, jotka ostimme lähikaupasta. Hotellin lähellä lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä ainoastaan yksi ruokakauppa! Toinen Chinese teatterin luona, jonne matkaa enemmän. Hotellilta on helppo liikkua Hollywood boulevardille ja läheiselle metroasemalle. Myös useat bussilinjat liikennöivät hotellin läheltä eli siitä pääsee julkisilla moneen suuntaan. Maksullisia parkkitaloja on hotellin molemmin puolin, jos haluaa vuokra-autoa pysäköidä. Olimme maksaneet huoneen hinnan kokonaan ennen yöpymistä, joten sisäänkirjauksen yhteydessä luottokortille tehtiin ainoastaan huonekohtainen katevaraus 35$/yö (takuumaksu). Työntekijä sanoi, että saamme tämän summan takaisin, kun uloskirjaudumme hotellista. Lähtöpäivänä ko. summa oli kuitenkin veloitettu luottokortilta. Jäi vähän epämääräinen olo tästä, että pitikö se maksaa oikeasti vai ei."
