We liked our room and were pleasantly surprised by free parking and amenities such as the coffee maker, however some things were a bit of a letdown for a 4* hotel, e.g. bar closed early and did not have full drinks range available, room was very hot and stuffy and we couldn't get the aircon to work, and check-in wasn't as slick as we'd have liked. Overall just OK. Also annoying that they charge more booking direct and you have to shop around for a good deal, plus adding breakfast is ridiculously expensive!

Fast check in, hand gel in many places. Public areas felt very safe. Room was a lovely size, with a sitting area, however it didn’t feel as clean as it could have been with crumbs under the cushions and hair in the bath. Breakfast was served promptly and was fine.

Not much to choose from the menu .ordered a burger with cheese and bacon but the menu does not state that it's Smokey bacon which spoilt my meal.found out the next morning we had no hot water reported it first thing but nothing was sorted went home with no shower. Coffee machine in room gave out a fowl taste to the coffee could do with a good cleaning out,overall a terrible weekend away

Overnight stay

Pros: Access
Easy access and friendly helpful staff. Main gripe and only one was the bed, RM223 the mattress is severely distressed, due to access from one side only the bed has deformed and does not allow for a balanced substrate, the mattress needs changing, oh and noted staining to the 2 seater sofa cushion. On the positive, the room was good, the staff great, and the place appeared generally clean. And yes I would stay again, hopefully with a decent mattress. Mr J

Exceeded expectations!

The first thing I would like to say is how exceptional the reception staff are in this hotel. They really go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are lots of little extras in the room too and as an original Bristol girl returning for a wedding, I loved the quirky mugs! They are doing everything right at this hotel. A perfect stay!
