The hotel is quite nice and lovely. However, there was only one elevator that worked instead of two during my stay of 6 days. The front desk staff were friendly but quite overwhelmed because of the number of people checking in at the same time. Breakfast was average and could use a few more selection of food.
My fault, but the location was a bit too far out of London. It took about 40min to get anywhere. One of the lifts was broken. I asked when it be fixed & was told it had been like that for 5-6 months! The staff were friendly & tried their best. On check-out we were advised that the lift would finally get repaired in the next few weeks. Whilst Im capable of walking the stairs, there was a backlog of guests trying to move about the floors. I don’t usually write a poor review, but I would not stay in this hotel again.
Very roomy with comfortable beds. Hair dryer and mini refrigerator in room. There was no microwave. Very convenient for transportation as there is a train station right around the corner (less than a 5 minute walk from hotel). Concierge staff was very helpful with directions and arranging car service for early morning tours when trains and buses were not yet available. Very pleasant and comfortable stay.
The hotel was okay, nothing special. We smelled mold in the bathroom which was tiny. The staff were average and the food in the restaurant was limited. The location was a little too far from everything even though the rail was very close.
