Very unkind staff. We stayed in the summer, super hot weather but the ac was not working, they haven’t tried to do anything. Either like it or not attitude. Toilet was smelly. Eventually we got our room changed but under long negotiations.

Room, spa facilities and hotel overall was gorgeous. Bar, restaurant experience and check out was not good. Dinner was terrible - food poor, service very poor and was for a very special occasion. Ruined our stay. Check out was not streamline with unclear charges on the bill we had to query and asked to be removed.

More focus on the smooth running of the hotel

We came to RHH for our babymoon but unfortunately weren't impressed with the little details. We had a loft room which was really hot (which we weren't expecting in Oct!) and the air con unit was noisy and inefficient. There were a few niggles that affected our stay - the telephone in the room didn't work (and reception didn't pick up when we called from our mobiles) - the cleaners trolley was outside our room the whole stay (which was inconvenient as it was hard to get past it!) - the restaurant service was slow and they didn't have the food we wanted - there was only one sachet of milk in the room - the check-in process was rushed and felt stressful, which isn't what we had expected for a relaxing overnight break. Saying that, we did enjoy the general ambience of the hotel, and the standard of decor and design, just let down by the little details unfortunately. Not in line with the price of the room, nor by our previous experiences at Harbour Hotels.
