Don’t stay until building works completed Nov 24

We booked the Lodge the night before our day in Wimbledon, how close it was to Putney high street and on-site parking. What we weren’t aware of when booking and until we arrived was the building works at the hotel. This is advertised on the PC version of the website, but not on the tablet or phone versions of the website, or Hotel.Com, both of which I used. They advertise 26 car parking spaces, but the 13 at the rear can’t be used at the moment and I estimate half of the others are used by the builders. The builders started work at 8:00am right outside our window, so we had to shut the curtains and the window. We could still hear some choice language. I complained but was quickly shown the PC version of the website. I showed them the phone version and they quickly offered me a free breakfast. I complained to Hotel.com asking for a 50% refund. This was refused as the hotel denied it was an issue. Once the work is completed I’d be happy to stay there, the breakfast was good, although the room was quite small for the price.

Close To Wimbledon Tennis

A very nice boutique hotel with a fabulous restaurant close to the East Putney tube station. Perfect for Wimbledon tennis!

We stayed at The Lodge Hotel Putney for our son’s wedding near by. We could not complain about anything except not enough parking and could not book the parking when booking the hotel, it’s based on first come.

Expensive, noisy and musty smell in the room.

Paid over the odds due to Wimbledon weekend but the room was less than average with windows looking out onto A building site. There was no garden due to building works which weren’t made clear when booking. A distinctive musty smell in the room which was muggy and couldn’t open the windows. But the worst bit was that we were on the ground floor with the fire door to the stairs right outside our room so I was woken up with the door banging every hour through the night and early morning. I mentioned it to the staff who were apologetic but did nothing.

Wimbledon convenience!

Very convenient for our days at Wimbledon! We could walk (about 45 mins) or go one Tube stop. Hotel was very clean and convenient and staff were wonderful.

Lovely stay ... in a lovey hotel We were down for the tennis at Wimbledon... great location if you are doing this ... one tube stop away and then walking distance to ground
