Really friendly and helpful staff when checking in. Generous sized rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Excellent location - 5 minute walk (if that) from Piccadilly train station and close to lots of lovely bars and restaurants.

Ok but not great
Shame to see all the scaffolding around the hotel. Room was decent and newly refurbished but no had soap?! In a 4/5 star hotel like the Marriott surely that should be standard. Beds were pretty form and hard as well. Not the nicest location either, but convenient for Manchester Piccadilly train station.

We had terrible experience. The AC was not working for entire floor. The staff came multiple times and pretended to doing restart and assured us that it will work. Eventually we came to know there is an issue with all the rooms on that floor. They were unable to moved us into another room due to unavailability. They gave us portable fans but we ended up with lot of noise and no improvements.

The hotel was beautiful & very elegant however we did have a couple issues. When we first got there we were told our room was not yet ready so were give a drinks voucher for the bar. Also I was charged £68 for parking, city tax & breakfast for the three of us, even though Expedia said breakfast was included. Also once the room was ready, we were given a king bed & sofa instead of the 2 double beds I booked. Thankfully after talking to the woman behind the desk we were moved into the room I actually booked. The room was fairly clean. However, it was a little dusty in places & there were cigarette butts in the sink plug. It was a large room & well furnished. The bathroom was elegant & the LED mirror was a great advantage for doing our makeup. The beds were extremely comfy, all three of us had the best sleep. It was very cold though, the heating controls didn’t seem to make a difference regardless of the setting. There was quite a few bachelorette & birthday groups in the hotel meaning there was a bit of noise at night with the drunk groups coming back to the hotel. This didn’t bother us too much. Breakfast was a large spread & tasty in all aspects that we tried. The car park is a little pricey at £25 per night however it was an alright size & well gated. Overall it was a good stay. The staff were all very friendly & lovely. However it was unusual that we were given no information regarding the WIFI/ breakfast times etc.

The hotel itself was lovely as were the staff. Our bathroom had a strange smell! Our room door was stuck and we struggled for some time to open it. we had to ask the reception to open it and the receptionist had to use force to push it open. They didn’t give us another room.

It's very close to Manchester Piccadilly station - about 3 minutes south of the station. There's a decent bar on-site. Breakfast is reasonable (probably not worthy of a 4* hotel). Rooms are a decent size, with many having king sized beds (at least ours did). It's convenient and close to the city centre, without the melee of Piccadilly Gardens.

This was a very last minute booking, booked at 12.30 arrived at 2.30pm just fancied a change of scenery and somewhere different to shop with my daughter. We experienced the most friendly check in ever from any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was modern, comfy, clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was fresh and loads of choice in both the hot and cold buffets. Check out was with a different member of the team but she was also just as lovely and friendly. Can’t remember either name but thank you! We would definitely stay again when in Manchester next 🙂
