Hotel is within fantastic walking of the train station. SO convenient. The staff were very gracious. I’d like to say a special thank you to ‘Scott’ who greeted me as I checked in. He was especially awesome after my long day of travelling :)
Location ok and staff were lovely but the property and the rooms are tired and not great quality - especially the bathroom

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness
Cleanliness was the main issue. Our room looked like it hadn’t been hoovered and the sink was dirty. The tray with the teas and coffees on was really dusty and the milk pots had gone off. Other areas of the hotel were also really dusty and pictures on the wall completely wonky! Lack of care and attention.
The staff were largely really friendly and helpful and they managed the busy breakfast, due to the Great North run, really well. However, the hotel was still busy on the Sunday night and they had one person on the bar leading to long queues. The barman was also surly and was swearing under his breath about the amount of people waiting.
Friendly hotel with a great price point right in the heart of Newcastle's LGBTQ neighborhood, with great shopping, dining, and public transportation minutes away by foot.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Must say that the staff are excellent - nothing is too much trouble and they're all there with a friendly word and a smile on their face. They coped brilliantly with all the runners there for GNR weekend and the fuelling station on the way out of the dining room was a lovely touch.
The public areas of the hotel are lovely but the rooms, not so much! We had to change our first room due to the smell and the second room was in need of an update. The bathroom facilities were all chipped. The bed was tiny. There was no air conditioning and the room was very stuffy. We managed to get a fan for our second night which made it slightly more bearable.
It's was a lovely clean hotel, the service was brilliant! Such friendly helpful staff! Nothing was too much! Fantastic breakfast left for all the runners for the great north run, which was a lovely surprise.
We were just a bit disappointed when we came back from the event and the restaurant was closed, but they did accommodate us with room service.
Breakfast was outstanding! Thank you for everything, we will be back
I stayed here with my partner for the great north run. The hotel put lots of special logistics in place to make the weekend very special. Thanks to all hotel staff
I never got there due to my flight being late because of a problem.
I tried to contact them also my daughter in UK.
They said it could not be changed or altered so i will get no refund either.
Therefor i had to go home by 3 modes of transport late in the day .I had a stressful journey on 30/08/24.
very pleased with the hotel overall but didn’t like having to walk through smokers outside hotel doors - leaving luggage was handy for us to have a good walk around quayside and shops before room ready. Lifts worked well and staff were pleasant
