This is a walk of about a mile to the centre of Oxford. Its location isn't ideal but the hotel more than makes up for this with immaculate presentation and early breakfast starting at 06:30 which is presented in buffet style and had everything I needed. The bar option is great too for a quiet drink after long days walking in Oxford. Highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again but for the location: I'll probably opt for something more central next time although there are copious electric scooter and bus options too
Easy 20-30 mins walk into Oxford city. Parking fees covers from 3pm to 11am the next morning.
Staff who helped us to check in was kind of rude. He was speaking too fast and when we asked for clarifications, his tone changed, as though we couldn’t understand English. We are from a first world English speaking country, just not UK.
The person at the desk (Josh) at checkin was really unhelpful. His attitude was one of disdain. He never improved over the 4 days we were there. The picture on Hotels.com doesn’t reflect what the hotel looked like at all. It was not near anything.

Clean, walkable distance to city centre. Good breakfast . Far too hot in the hotel.
Excellent service. Very polite staff.
Did knock our heads a few times in the cosy room low roof edges, rather hilarious at first. Unfortunately, no mixer tap in our bathroom kids stuck to using the cold tap, hot was too hot. No bath bubbles for the kids, only shower gel & shampoo available, lucky I'd packed my own.
Room service great. Restaurant food fine. Loved the breakfast, lots of variety. Not keen on their vege sausages though.
Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Fabulous short break!
My towel had a blood stain. There was a wringer dirty paper tissue someone on one of the shelves. At 00:30am a group of 6 people were shouting, laughing and talking loudly at the parking lot, just below the rooms. I had to call reception to ask them to ask the group to be quiet. Besides, I asked reception to order a taxi..they let me wait and didn't notify me of my taxi's arrival...the taxi left and I had to order another one. The next day I asked for their help for another taxi, I have 30 minutes notice and this time I was waiting at the reception! Guess what? They didn't see that the taxi company cancelled my booking 10 min before. Ordered another taxi...20 minutes waiting! Out of the 5 staff I've encountered, the first was polite and quick do to the check in. The others were friendly. At the bar I ordered a pepsi bottle... Took some 5 minutes until the staff realised they had to open it (I had to ask). I ordered a black coffee and the staff was frosting milk... I had to remind them my coffee was black. It was not a complete disaster because the location is nice, and most of the hotel staff were dependable...one of them saw that I was a bit lost and offered help. So I blame management and lack of training... Unlikely that I'll stay there again; so much missed potential...
Great hotel withing walking distance of the city centre.
We didn't use the bar/restaurant but they looked nice.
It was especially nice (and appreciated) that we were allowed to stay past our checkout to freshen up after the Oxford half marathon i did...top service and I'll definitely stay again.
