The only criticism is that we went to a show on Saturday evening and as the bars in Oxford were so very busy, we decided to go back to the hotel bar for a drink. We only just made it as they were closing at 11 p.m, thought this was a bit early for a Saturday night.

My disappointing experience began at Reception. Check In was unavailable till well after 1500. "Courtyard View" remains a mystery- there is no Courtyard, and through a tiny window I spied a brick wall. I looked down on a river. AirCon ropey. Then i could not check out in the morning because "the system was down" !! How many stars does this hotel purport to have ???
