Ok for a couple of nights stay, there are many restaurants and bars nearby which is great. Everything was great but once thing I’d say is maybe this hotel should look into getting a separate entrance for the hotel section as you have to go through the restaurant to to get to your rooms. But other than that it was very clean and staff were very helpful :)

I really wanted to give The Ox a brilliant review, it looks good on the surface and the staff at check in were really welcoming and helpful, the bar/dining area is also very nice, but eventually I had a list of things I wasn’t happy with about the room! The first thing I noticed was that it was very very hot in the room and although it was a sunny few days I was there, it wasn't unseasonably hot, it was just summer! The window weighed a ton and was really hard to open plus it was already cracked seemingly from someone else’s attempt to open it, there was a fan in the room but it would just push hot air around! The bathroom area looks nice, but all the grout is missing in between tiles on the floor, there were a few red stains on the floor which were hard to spot but have now stained the bottom of my socks red! The bed was okay and comfortable but it was sold as a double room and was basically two singles shoved together! The display pillows had stains all over them which was disappointing! Lastly it’s situated on a main road so it was noisy by 6am and if you had the window open to get some air - it was just pointless trying to sleep!! In need of refurbishment I would say and get some air conditioning!

Good location for early ferry crossing. Did not find the noise from the road disturbing in the night. Restaurant had nice atmosphere and the food was excellent.

Glad no one saw where i stayed

Poor room broken lamp and bed staff insisted i pay for breakfast although it was included in the booking Would not recomend wont go back Poor at best
