Weekend break

Weeks away for myself and my wife, booked a king bedroom top floor, the room was clean Morden and very spacious, the bed very comfortable, shower traffic, room equipped with hair dryer, iron and ironing board, kettle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great variety and plentiful. Bar prices less than some of the bars in town centre. Good location pleasant 5-10 minute walk to town center or the railway station.

Good but hard..!!

It was a lovely hotel, absolutely spotless. A pleasure to stay in.. However the beds are far too hard, it could be a deal changer for staying again.. everything else was fabulous..

3 day mid week stay

3 day mid week stay. Modern hotel in central position. 5 minutes walk to railway station and 5 minutes walk into the centre of town. Room was quiet and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and large flat screen tv. Breakfast was fine which was a buffet with plenty of choice which went on to 10 am. Only criticism was no freshly cooked eggs only microwaved scrambled eggs which were a bit dry and tasteless. However otherwise everything else was fine and would consider staying there again.

Not stayed here before so didn't know what to expect. I'm delighted to say i found Hampton by Hilton to be an excellent choice, the staff on arrival were very welcoming with a smile. The lobby was clean and calming. The room we got was perfect, it was a king on the 5th floor (top). The shower room was a fair size with a great shower and very clean. Couldn't fault any aspect of our stay and will definitely book again for our next trip to York.

Stayed 3 night. Very convenient location--easy walk to the train station and to all of York's sights. Modern rooms with typical touches--and a view of the ramparts. A well-used lounge space with beer/wine/food or just sitting. Good breakfast. Hotel provided helpful information on restaurants/sights near the hotel. Two excellent restaurants on Mickeldore St.

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Our king size room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of food on offer. My only suggestion would be to have a separate hot water supply for tea, as it tasted of coffee. I was offered fresh hot water from the kitchen.

A clean standard room. I thought the car park signage (it's an NCP multi-storey at the end of the road) was a little unclear, but staff were able to point me in the right direction. Tip, don't queue at the lower level machine there are others located on the upper levels. The breakfast was very nice.
